Having missed out on the 'Never Mind the Billhooks' experience when it first came out, nothing I'd read had seemed to justify the interest they had engendered. But, knowing I am very poor at judging rules without playing them I thought, when offered a game, I would seize opportunity to see if playing them would change my mind.

Will I change my mind?

A good report, Billy. I really enjoy the system and it's great as a club-night game. I even had my own play-deck made up, showing the leaders' liveries and badges (they take the place of the stars on the game cards), to help people remember which units came under each leader's command.

Thank you. I may have to take a look at these rules myself.

#Dal Gavan – those cards look really nice, are they professionally printed on playing cards? If not, how did you make them?

I had them printed up professionally, Billy, in 2022 by a mob in Brisbane who do playing cards, Eprint Online ( eprintonline.com.au ). It cost me about $28.00 AUD per deck of 32 cards (2 Bonus cards, one each red rose and white rose skirmish card, and 28 commander cards), plus P&P. A bit of a luxury purchase, but they make it easier for livery- and heraldry-befuddled players to identify their troops on the table. Plus it was a bit of fun designing the back and faces of the cards.

PS Here's what I ordered:

Thanks, gents. EPrint deserve the credit. All I did was use some Wiki clip art and a bit of reading for the arms, liveries and badges, and EPrint turned a half-baked idea into reality.

Thanks Dal, that was actually less costly than I thought it would be.
