"I know Krisztian for nearly 20 years now. He helped in 2006 when we created the Hastings diorama at the DUZI in the old times and together we worked on a lake Peipus diorama which was on show on the Hungarian model fair in Mosonmagyarovar…"

Krisztian and his figures remind me of Spiros Koumousis, a Greek wargamer who sculpted his own 15 mm figures for the Greek War of Independence. Like Uwe, I thought maybe 15 mm wasn't the best choice; many of the battles of the Greek War of Independence were small and could have been fought with 25/28 mm figures. I have to say, though, I am very impressed with people like Krisztian and Spiros that they sculpted and cast their own figures!

Interesting point about figure scale and the scale of a war, Grelber.

The Hungarian War of Independence wasn't small. There were about 15 major battles that saw opposing armies of up to 60,000 men. We use 6mm or 10mm to fight these large battles. 15mm is very practical too. While the uniforms were very pretty and larger scales would show these off nicely, they're not so good for fitting everything on the table and getting the right visual mass effect.

Anyway. it's a great period to wargame and wonderful that Krisztian has created this dedicated range of figures for it.
