A quad minigun system, often featuring four M134 rotary machine guns, is a devastatingly high-rate-of-fire platform, capable of firing up to 12,000 to 24,000 rounds per minute combined (\(3,000–6,000\) RPM per gun). These systems are typically chambered for 7.62×51mm NATO ammunition, utilize electric motors for operation, and are often mounted on vehicles, helicopters, or in specialized turrets. Be sure to bring all brass to the Drill Instructor so he/she can confirm you are not leaving the range with any live ammo. |
