"This battle was the only battle of the Napoleonic Wars fought on the territory of the Kingdom of Hungary, and the last battle in which the Hungarian noble uprising forces took part. The IX Corps commanded by Archduke John consisted of 28,997 infantry, 10,996 cavalry and 28 guns, to which were added 10,000 infantry and 9,000 cavalry of the insurgents. The advancing French army, however, numbered 41,814 infantry, 13,482 cavalry and 144 guns…"

Maybe it's just the lighting (as it would seem from the first photo) but I must say the purple ground is a bold colour choice! :)

Impressive – and I think it is the lighting since as I recall Central European dirt was basically dirt colour
