very lesser known than Irish-Scottish regiments of the French Army or the exiled French Huguenots…the only English Regiments of the French Army of Ancien Regime served under Louis XIV

- Rokeby. – raised November 18, 1645, by Thomas Rokeby. Flanders; Courtrai, Dunkirk. La Bassée, 1647. Ypres, Battle of Lens, 1648. Cambrai, Condé, 1649. – Given July 8, 1650, to Victor-Maurice, Count of Broglio. – Garrison of La Bassée. Incorporated December 16, 1659, into the Gardes Ecossaises and Douglas

- Prince Rupert. – raised 14 March 1647 by Rupert of Bavaria, Prince Palatine of the Rhine. Flanders. Incorporated 12 November 1648 into Rokeby

- Reynell. – raised June 20, 1653 by N. Reynell. – Flanders, Incorporated January 6, 1657 into the Royal Irlandais.

1671-1678

- Hamilton, by Georges count Hamilton of Albercorne,- The colonel, killed in 1676 near Saverne, was replaced by Antoine, Chevalier d'Hamilton Incorporated March 10, 1678, into Fürstemberg

- Carlisle, by Thomas Howard, comte of Carlisle

- Churchill, by John Churchill, later Duke of Marlborough

- Dunkan

- Royal Anglais raised February 15, 1672 under this title by Jacques FitzRoy, Duke of Montmouth, who resigned in June 1674. 24 companies, disbanded June 27 1678 then in Franche-Comté

except this last one, all raised April 30, 1671, fought in Holland, 1672. Westphalia, 1673. Sintzheim, Ensheim, Mulhouse, 1674. Durckheim, Altenheim, 1675. Kokersberg, Freiburg, 1677. Disbanded 10th march 1678

1691-1698

- Gardes du Corps du Roy d'Angleterre
Admitted to the service of France September 1691. Normandy coasts, 1692. Flanders, Neerwinden, Charleroi, 1693. Moselle, 1696-97. – Incorporated in Dorrington February 26, 1698

- Dragons à pied de la Reine d'Angleterre – same campaigns Incorporated in Galmoy

- Digby listed in 1659

- Royal Anglais listed in 1678
