"We are the San Patricios
A brave and gallant band."

Okay. A friend is talking about a Mexican American War project.
I've offered to do the San Patricio battalion. For much of the War, they were artillery, but late were a small battalion.

So, I'm asking for information on suitable figures, artillery and flag in 28mm. Im assuming Mexican figures, and hopefully accurate artillery. 😄

I've searched for the flag on line. It's tricky. On one side is the Harp of Erin with "Erin go Bragh!" as a motto and shamrocks. On the other side is Himself, St Patrick. With many speculative designs. Does anyone make it for sale in 28mm?

The Mexican American War range by Old Glory should work out – I have the San Patricos as part of my Mexican forces and am actually using them in a club battle in two weeks

For the flag, I used a standard Mexican flag figuring they would probably have one of them in addition to the unit specific flag

The Virtual Armchair General makes 2 versions of the flag. I don't recall off hand which set they are in though.

Hope this helps

Pretty wild. Tom Berenger also played Longstreet and Roosevelt around the same time. Not mention Platoon. I need to see more of his work!

I searched the TVAG MAW flag page, but couldn't find it. 🤷

John!

Both versions of the San Patricios' Flag are in "Mexican Flag Set One," in all scales. link

It's not visible on the single sample page shown on site, 'cause I don't want to offer our research for free!

However, for a "Special Friends of Rick" price, we might sell you just those two items in you choice of scale.

Okay, John!

If I can be of any service to the Gent and his progress, I look forward to hearing from him.

Thanks!
