And just a couple of accidents and he can be king. I know it's a joke, but also wouldn't surprise me from one side… |

I have to keep reminding myself that the world was always this silly. |

And as so many say: what does this have to do with either miniatures or history? |
John the OFM | 09 Jan 2026 9:39 a.m. PST |
Why, nothing whatsoever! Why do you ask? As Leonidas said to the rude Persian ambassador, "Thif is TMP!" I can say that I see your reasoning, but that ship sailed long ago. And, I did post it in Utter Drivel. But you have to admit that she is cute. |

If I am not mistaken, Nixon wanted his girls to marry royalty. |

Demented, more demented, even more demented. Three centuries ago, a teenage printer's apprentice warned us that silence enables abuse. He was right then. He is right now. |

If she marries into that family she'd better be prepared to be grabbed on the … by father in law |

Well, his first name is a title. |

Well, Prince Barron's dad is already king of the United States so why would he need to marry Danish royalty? |

Such a brilliant and civilized solution. GOD SAVE THE KING !!! |

A better solution than we're likely to arrive at. You know, political generations ago, William F. Buckley proposed that we make the office of President (a) ceremonial, and (b) elective within the Kennedy family, so they could compete for the title while we would actually be governed by some competent but uncharismatic administrator. He may have been on to something. Tricky finding the competent administrator, though. |

Danish royals traditionally serve in the military, but I could not find a picture of Princess Isabella in uniform. Well, here is her mom, then Crown Princess now Queen Mary:

One can see from the Danish ears they hail from a safe distance from the Windsors. No comment on the other lineage… |

Shardik, You mean the other one who had no problem sniffing girls and women's hair and touching them inappropriately even on camera? |
| Nick Bowler | 09 Jan 2026 11:57 p.m. PST |
One can see from the Danish ears they hail from a safe distance from the Windsors.Queen Mary is from Australia, of Scottish ancestry.

Back to wargaming… Sword knot ribbon is gold and red. Apparently the Danish sash colour since 1730. --- as a fantasy wargame idee – Queen of Denmark calls on Australian armed forces to defend Greenland… (it's a shame the AUKUS nuculear subs aren't on the board yet) |

"And as so many say: what does this have to do with either miniatures or history?" Well, somebody somewhere sometime may make miniatures of them. Not sure what game they could be used in though… ;-) |
