I thought my pre-Christmas game of Marengo would be my last for the year. Turns out I was wrong: yesterday I unexpectedly got to play a Zulu War game twice.

This was a very interesting scenario that encompassed both Isandlwana and Rorke's Drift. Because of its zoomed-out level, there was much more manoeuvre than in the stereotypical Zulu War wargame. Thoroughly good fun and Anton's new Zulu army got to wash their spears for the first time. Photo-AAR here:
