I have enjoyed Michael Arnolds (several mentioned in the poll) 7 book series Civil War Chronicles with central character Stryker – along with an 8th book with Stryker in the TYW Overall covering the years of 1630 – 1644 |

Nigel Tranter's "Montrose" series is quite good, and also Nicholas Carter's "Shadow on the Crown" series. I thought the Poul Anderson one was OK -- 12% win?? |
