In my latest effort at producing a game I can trust with kids and not spend a lot of money on, I've purchased bags of old Axis & Allies "generic" tanks and artillery, which appear to be about microscale. Sadly, the A&A generic infantry appear to be about 1/72, and there's no A&A recon as such. SO… Target now is (1) cheap, sturdy roughly microscale infantry--generic preferred, but not required (2) any sort of roughly microscale recon vehicle--armored cars preferred, but I'll settle for jeeps with MGs--and (3) as a grace note, trucks and/or halftracks. Given many of the A&A guns have gun shields and some do not, this should give me armor, infantry, AT, recon and artillery--that is, the very basic WW2 elements. The intention is that each stand represent either a platoon or a company. Does anyone have any clever thoughts on how to develop the project? Thanks. |

Robert, Historical Board Gaming produce a lot of their own A&A compatible playing pieces: historicalboardgaming.com Infantry? I'm no help with that, I'm afraid. Bob |
