Greeting fellow gamers,
Tis the season for Christmas and Christmas Games. I had the opportunity to play in two, this year. In the first I was on the side of the "Misfit Toys" as we battled hoards of "Ginger Bread Men" (complete on baking tray moving stands) as we tried to take over Santa's toy production. (We vanquished the elves last year).
For the other I was part of the Conquering Martians, as we tried to get Santa's massive database. We were stymied by Polar Bears, Rockem Sockem Robots, and Toy Soldiers.
In this issue we are announcing the Little Wars opening Dates (spoiler alert-it is January 1st). Badge registration, game submission, and the room block will be open. We are also proud to announce George Nafziger as our 2026 Guest of Honor.
We also have had to reschedule the Images of War event until later in the fall. We were a little too ambitious, to make it happen so quickly. But going ahead full speed is our Civil War Days. We have out a call for GM's so step up and be a part of this great event.
Toys for Tots, went very well with us collecting 120 gifts. Thank you to the GM's, the players and all the donators. We have some info on our Giving Programs and Donations as well. Remember it is better to give than to receive.
Sadly we do not have any articles this month, so please help us out, and lets get some good stories and info out to our readers. We do have a new gaming club starting up, the: Joliet Wargaming Society. Please contact Matt Cappellini at mathewcapellini@gmail.com. So if you are in the area, check it out.
Finally the 2026 Calendar is out. There are plenty of save the dates. Please let me know if we missed something. Also keep in mind some dates may change, so always check the most up to date newsletter.
Let all have a great Christmas and New Years!
See you at the gaming table,
Kevin
