Great piece. Excellent paint job, pose, expression, and proportion. Flat-heeled boots are very believable in the context presented.

The knife is ridiculously oversized for her, being as long as her entire torso, but those things do exist. Even a Bowie knife typically has a blade of 12 to 18 inches, so this one is not a stretch.

She's not wearing a scabbard, suggesting that she took the knife from its owner and maybe that person's blood now adorns it.

Now it appears that she's waiting for a boat at the dock. She's holding the knife in an icepick grip, so I expect her to jump into the boat and slash up and stab down before the boatman knows what hit him.

And I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and believe that the late knife owner and soon-to-depart boatman were holding against her will with evil intent.
