By coke, I mean cola, of course. I post on this board because I'm sure plenty of JB is enjoyed in US wargaming. That's it. Is it? DBDD |

I imagine Jack in the Black is also imbibed! |

I do not drink, so no oiniopn. |

Jim Beam itself endorses the cocktail: link Beam & Cola Savor the classic Jim Beam & Cola, where smooth bourbon meets crisp cola. Perfectly balanced and timeless, it's a refreshing choice for casual enjoyment and social gatherings. |

Well if it is OK with Jim Beam then … Jim |

If I'm drinking bourbon, that's what I'm drinking. |
79thPA | 21 Dec 2025 1:34 p.m. PST |
Of course. You can also buy it pre-mixed. |

Single Malt is my drink, and I'd NEVER mix it! |
John the OFM | 21 Dec 2025 2:37 p.m. PST |
Nobody is the boss of me I'll drink and mix whatever I want! Fooey on you to gainsay me! But I'm drinking Genny Cream Ale tonight. If that inhibits my credibility, that's on you, you judgemental nob. Not me. TBH, I haven't had a cocktail in decades. |
20thmaine | 21 Dec 2025 3:17 p.m. PST |
Basically what the OFM said – it's your booze, your coke, mix it if you want. Personally, it sounds awful. |
| 14Bore | 21 Dec 2025 3:20 p.m. PST |
Long long ago drank it that way. Strictly a Scotch drinker these days for hard alcohol |
Col Durnford | 21 Dec 2025 3:20 p.m. PST |
No coke in Jim Beam. Only with rum and almost never in any case. That said, back in the day, Wild Turkey in a glass, add ice and if any room remains, a little water (branch water if possible). |

Given recent marketing problems I imagine the company would be happy if you drank Jim Bean with anything! |
| glengarry6 | 21 Dec 2025 7:05 p.m. PST |
As a Canadian (and, admittedly a tea-totaller) I don't drink Jim Beam at all. |
| OSCS74 | 21 Dec 2025 7:28 p.m. PST |
Drink it anyway you want. I seen Jack and JB drinkers think a 3 is a 10. If you know what I mean. |
| King Monkey | 21 Dec 2025 11:11 p.m. PST |
Drink what you want, how you want. |

They seem to be cutting production of Jim Beam: link Coke is fairing well in 2025 but they do make it round the world:

Yeah, I literally just saw that they were closing a distillery in Kentucky due to reduced sales, mostly from export issues. |
| doubleones | 22 Dec 2025 3:49 a.m. PST |
Of course it's OK! Diet Coke also works well as a mixer. |
| noggin2nog | 22 Dec 2025 6:04 a.m. PST |
With the increase in oil-tanker piracy and the knock-on effect on petrol prices, it's probably best not to mix it with anything that will clog your engine. |
| Major Mike | 22 Dec 2025 6:39 a.m. PST |
I used to drink vodka and cola (the bartenders remember you), so, why not. |
| T Andrews | 22 Dec 2025 9:51 a.m. PST |
to John the OFM: I'm from Rochester and am well acquainted with Genny Cream but always preferred their 12-Horse Ale; at least before they sweetened the recipe. Since the Great American re-Hopping I have wide choice in ales! This season I shall enjoy Mulled Cider cut with Jamaican Dragon Stout (7.5% ABV to tame the sweetness). Evan Williams original Bourbon Egg Nog 15% ABV and end with Ardbeg An Oa Scotch 46.6% ABV. Wishing all of TMP enjoyable Holidays. Imbibe your favorite beverage responsibly. |

Jim Beam is made to be mixed. Or maybe as an aromatic bunsen burner fuel. It certainly doesn't taste good neat. |
miniMo | 22 Dec 2025 2:02 p.m. PST |
It's excellent for adding a splash to fried mushrooms! |

I'm a hardcore New Englander. If I'm drinking a caffeinated tonic, it's Moxie. And if it's going into a cocktail, it's the very aptly named Burnt Trailer (2 parts Moxie, 1 part Allen's Coffee Brandy) |
