Are the Rules You Wrote Any Good?

So one in four of us thinks our own rules are excellent? Not that I would take my opinion on my own rules, you understand.

I'm still quivering in terror and shame at the mere thought of the rules I wrote for Trenton.
I'm stunned I wasn't lashed to the back of a dung wagon and flogged from town to town for them.

I can't imagine that any of those 25% are British.

Our rules are at best, somewhat adequate.

And if you want to talk about "somewhat adequate", talk about the England cricket team – though that's still hyperbole.

I am UK based; define excellent it can mean anything. My rules are as yet, as far as I an concrened. They do they intended job very well. The fact that we are still using them every week for the last 16 years is testament to that.
If excellent is a synonym for perfect, I hope not. Hopefully someone will do better but after 16 years I am still waiting; moderen rules have gotten oversimplified and more "gamey" for my taste so no improvement for me.

Perhaps a better question would be are you satisfied with them in their current state, or are youn still "tinkering?"
