I have been painting some Austrian chaps.

These are a mixture of Art Miniturian, Mr Kane's sculpts, Hat and Zevda conversions.

Lots to do

Now this is how the Austrians should look. I have wandered through Art Min's site hundreds of times, but somehow had missed the Austrians. I had no idea they did gunners, let alone limbers and horses to pull the things.

I seem to recall this was one nation that did not introduce true Horse Artillery?

A great bit of work. Such a nice variety of poses, that I had thought impossible for Austrians in 20mm. I was convinced HaT and that was it!

Thank you Mr D for your kind comments.

The Austrians had the Wurst units that were a sort of half way house between foot and horse batteries.

I posted a previous post regarding wurst, pack horse accompaniments and also limbers with Austrian train conversions.

I am currently building more of these along with cassions.

Best wishes,

Chris

Nice to see a few Handlanger in there for when some pushing and shoving is required.

Cheers,
John
