On a side note, black paint pigment is actually a very (very, very) dark blue. The "blue" anti-glare strip on the plane image might be simply an attempt to depict worn and weathered "black." It could also be the artist using blue as a "highlight" for black (a common feature of comic book art, most notably for Batman.)

This post alerted me to my ignorance of the military conflicts between Taiwan and PRC, so it prompted me to read up on the Taiwan Strait crises.

I was left with a question though, how the hell does Taiwan still hold the Kinmen and Matsu islands?
