Earlier this month our annual BIG Battalion BAR (the rules) away game was rightfully postponed into 2026. Eleven participants therefore had to make other plans. At almost the last hour two separate smaller games were held in two locations. That was a plus. The Fox Valley chaps had one. Bob B. and I played the other.

The one on my table became known as The Defile. The following describes the scenario so you can try it with almost any time period. Photos and captions describe how to do it here:

Bob and I had a very good two-player game. Getting our SYW forces on the table was a huge plus for us.
