Depends if it is a "strand alone" tree, or just one of many that represents a forested area.

Yes, certainly in my games the trees are on the small side. Even at 1 to 1 scale geound to figures, the figure and base are too large for thr ground scale so fitting between two close trees is not possible anyway. I also have fer too few trees to represent them 1 to 1 in most forrests.

I usually mark off wooded areas so a mini is either in the wooded area or not. The actual trees don't matter. My minis are smart enough to seek cover if I put them in the right area.

Stryderg- I assumed it was standard practice to mark wooded area with some thin material, we use angel hair. I have never seen it not done in a standard game.

What I have not seen is a diffrentiation of the wood edge. where there is often, at least in the UK, dence lowegrowing "shrubbery" not present in the consistent dim interioor light of many woods. We don't represent it, its more rules for, at our level of game, too little gain.
