You were asked – TMP link

Of your recent minis purchases, what percent were digital files (i.e., minis to 3Dprint from STL files)?

70% said "zero"
10% said 50% or more, of which 4% said 100%
10% said 10%-30%
9% said 1%-5%

OK, but why does a "no" vote count here, when it was ignored on the conversion of historical gamers to 40K?

My analysis, feel free to make your own. grin

I had some files sent to "I know a guy" who has access.
So I guess that technically I have. But I don't need another hobby with a steep learning curve.
At least back when I was vainly trying to cast my own lead figures, I could throw my miscues back in the pot.

I had to buy an stl and take it to my son to get some heads printed out, but I'm with John on this one--no time, space or money for another hobby. Happy to buy the results on Etsy.

Most I design and make (3D prints), Some I commision the STL then print. Avery few I get 3D printed commercially.

3D printing at least using FDM is no hobby, just a tool like a pencil.

I don't have a printer. I have purchased a few 3-D printed figures. Only issue I have had with them was a giant Frenchman. Luckily he is for a skirmish game, and not often used in that.

There are a number of ranges available as STLs that I would probably buy heavily if they were readily available as prints.
