And I am grateful they are highly unlikely to remake Cats. Someone gave me a DVD and I regret watching it once for free!
Sadly they could remake this one, but *I* would be offended if they made a 17th reboot of a Spiderman origins story. Or even yet another 'Dark' Batman that's even more darker than the last darkity dark darker Batman.

I remember an amateur review from the time that said something like "it's weird, there are all these singing cats and that's it" You mean the movie of cats the musical is just like cats the musical? Inconceivable! |

It's even more like the musical than that — it was filmed with a single flat camera angle on the stage. Just like sitting in a center seat in the Orchestra section watching the whole thing. No adaptation for film whatsoever. |
