I am looking for an STL, free or otherwise for a Pz.Kpfw. I but optimised for 1/144 scale. T

Too many are either sized for 1/72 so if any good, have guns when scaled down are too thin to print/be practical. It does seem a lot of commercial 3D printers use one model for all scales so it's really only at its best for the scale it was drawn too. The guns are too thick if scaled up and too thin if scaled down. I have used almost exclusively AOTRS Shipyards STL's for Moderens as they are optimised for 1/144. Sames if I make my own STL's However I an short of time and need some Panzer 1's so does any body know

of a good source. This is for private use only not for sale. AOTRS currently only do modern vehicles so getting a commission done is not currently on the cards.

Use brass wire for the guns. How much detail do you want a 1/144 MG 13 to have?

You miss the point, if the scaling is off the mouunting will be off. A real gun size on an oversixed mount is equally as bad.

Recover the hand and see that you are missing the ends of some of the fingers.

Wiki – Panzer I (AKA special purpose vehicle 101)

Interesting article on how they got around the Versailles treaty restrictions by disguising these as agricultural tractors and by ripping off the design of the Carden-Lloyd Tankette; The purpose was also to gear Germany industry up to producing tanks in quantity.

Try using nylon brush bristles – they're only MG13 barrels after all.

On thingiverse.com there's a user named m_bergman. If I ever meet him I'm buying him dinner. He has designed *hundreds* of STL files for WW1 and WW2 vehicles. Every pzkw, every variant. Every truck. Every mobile bridge. They're all free. They're quite detailed. They are small, though. They look great printed down to 6mm aka 1:300, and they'll even print well below that. They're detailed enough that they will look ok at 1:144. I'm not sure they'll satisfy, but it's with a look. Everyone should have this collection on their hard drive, because he just has *everything*.

If it's not quite detailed enough you can start with his model, import it into TinkerCAD and add whatever details you like.
