Last weekend I the pleasure of joining fellow club members from the Devon Wargames Group and other friends for a two-day wargaming extravaganza, courtesy of the wonderful folks at the Fleet Air Arm Museum, Yeovilton, where I hosted the Battle of Cape Finisterre 1805, fought in the Grand Manner using 1:700 models.

This battle can be a challenge to model for the wargamer, being fought as it was in a thick sea fog, only made worse by thick gun smoke from the firing that later ensued, and indeed 'Admiral Weather' played a large role in the battle we fought over two days of play.
