Can anyone point me towards which German units of 19th Army would have been in Mulhouse facing the French 1st Armoured in November `44

Frankly hours of internet searching has led me nowhere fast…………

Any help appreciated

Hi Richard,

I find this :
link

It's in french but you can find some information, particularly in p.62:
The book states that the defenders were elements of the XIX German Army,
-around 100 men and HQ staff from a local NCO's school
-¿Security Bataillon? Merker 200 men
- 30th SS division, 14th company
- 1 anti tank company
-Scattered elements of various units who already left the city.
- 5 Panthers
There's probably more information further on.
Please, apologies my approximate English.
Cheers
Alberto

I'm glad that was of any help.
I really enjoy your battle reports on less known Ww2 campaigns and most of all the Rif war and the ScW, the Toledo rearguard action was great btw.
