I managed a real personal highlight recently and played a wargame, at my home, in my wargames room with the man who got me into the hobby in the first place. He was a colleague of my Dad's. He taught ten year old me how to paint 1/72 plastics and would slip my Dad spare copies of Wargames Illustrated to put in my school bag.

I can't tell you what a thrill it was thirty five years later to play a game of Napoleonics with him in my own home.

Ten year old Conrad would never have believed it possible.

Very cool that you were able to game with a mentor! Great looking table. I liked scanning the ranks picking out the vintage metal figs and identifying the plastics. Are the Crimean War Russians uniformed properly to serve as some Napoleonic era unit(s)?
