Bonjour!

I may be moving to Paris within the next 6 months or so, and I'm wondering what the wargaming options are.

Also, while I will be learning French, I do not currently speak it, so I'm hopeful that this will not be a disqualifying factor.

Thanks!
Dave

I can't really help with wargaming, but I am very jealous…

I'm with Royston Papworth!

There is at least one France-based wargaming blog that gets posted here frequently, usually (if not always) by Tango. That might be a resource for you.

I'm not sure how much wargaming I'd get into if I actually got to live in Paris. I'd probably have an artist's garret and paint miniatures there, but I think I'd spend most of my time in outdoor cafes, art venues, Montmartre, etc.

Not sure where they are, but this is the group Oberlindes mentioned

They seem like decent chaps

On TMP on the General boards there is Wargaming in France page.
You could try posting there or contacting those that have posted on there.

@Grattan54: This is where I've posted my query.

And thanks Oberlindes and Frederick. I do recall seeing their page at some point before. I'll follow up.

Hopefully someone from a wargames group will respond. While English is very much the lingua Franca in Paris, I'm particularly concerned that language might be a barrier for something as granular as wargaming.
