Pin-striped suit, polished brogues, and folded broad-sheet used to be good prophylactics against being selected for actual jury.

The usher shuffles cards with the prospective jurors names on them and picks one, then repeats until twelve have been selected. So, dressing up / down / whatever isn't going to help.
