Last call for suggestions--I think. Rixx's Cafe Aldaran is--or soon will be--fully staffed, and give or take one order yet to be place to Crooked Dice, the customers, besides a bunch of generics, will include 3-4 each Classic Trek Star Fleet, Classic Galactica Viper Pilots and Babylon5 command in Earthforce uniform--plus probably the 4th Doctor Who. One Star Wars Imperial officer should arrive today. (I already have a scruffy nerf-herding smuggler and the best-looking member of the Imperial Senate.) I could really use the Cantina Band, a Ferengi bartender--the Nagus is on order--and better-looking Orion dancers, but I can't find them at any price in 28mm. At all, actually. Question before the mess: What interstellar TV or movie franchise am I missing which should be included? (Please no Terminators or Road Warriors "because they're Sci-Fi.") Trickier, who in literary SF qualifies who has been so well described that a viewer or player can look at the painted casting and say "that's a Motie!" or "he's Giles Habibula!" Comes January is the last of the furniture, I think. Thanks everyone for your help. |

Brigade Games has a cantina dancer, and so does Knuckleduster. Paint them green?

Farscape ? There's various large angry humanoids around in that, and available 28mm, plus it has a floating diminutive arrogant and annoying merchant. Any of the cast from The Restaurant at the End of the Universe (HHGTTG). A paranoid android, a guy with 2 heads and 3 arms, a dishevelled man in a dressing gown and PJs, a man in mismatched suit with a. bag and a towel. Blonde bimbo. Of course, a man in a wheelchair dressed all in Black looking like Elvis after he has left the building for tax reasons, accompanied by a large bouncer also all in black. A large multi limbed cow like thing, alive on a roasting dish with garnish, alive and pointing out all the best cuts of his own body. |

Thank you! That was remarkably quick and helpful. Two cantina band members and a bartender together with three dancers have been ordered. I already had a singer, and a keyboardist with a trunk arrived today, so I think I'm good for Rixx' on a weeknight. Wackmole, you could be more insulting if you were somewhat less obscure. |
