"The Raid on Deerfield was a French and Indian attack that took place in Deerfield, Massachusetts in 1704 during Queen Anne's War.

The attack was one of the deadliest during the war and occurred on February 29, 1704, when a force of 50 Frenchman and 200 native warriors attacked the town, killing 48 villagers and taking 112 prisoners…"

" Over the past year I added more units to my Seven Years War collection. The latest were 2 battalions of Hungarian infantry and the Red Hussars all from Von Kleist's Freikorps. The hussars are by Sash and Sabre and the infantry by Foundry. I was short of 4 figures for the infantry so got 2 packs of the Von Kleist's band from Foundry. That built the infantry up to 24s and gave me the figures for the two 4 figure band bases. I have to come up with a useful Black Powder rule to use the bands. All the figures were painted by my friend Kevin Bowman and based by myself.. His painting just keeps getting better…"

Nice work – for the Austrians, good to break up all that white and the Prussians can always use an extra Frei Korps or two!
