Be advised that Rixx' Cafe Aldaran--my 28mm indoor SF skirmish/RPG setting--is approaching full. Twelve figures bearing a strong resemblance to the casts of Blade Runner and Alien arrived yesterday, which gives me enough generic human barflies to block shots and generally get in the way.

But "approaching full" is not the same as "no vacancy." The idea now is for a handful of recognizeable figures to add to staff, aliens and humans. Has anyone else read Barbara Hambly's "Ishmael?" Some of the classic Trek crew are having drinks at the Wonder Bar on Starbase 12. They're the plot. But in the background, there are a couple of Hokas, two "brown-uniformed pilots from a rag-tag migrant fleet" a "scruffy spice smuggler" and "a tall curly-haired man in the outlandish garb of a space-tramp." This time out, they're background. (And can anyone place the space tramp? The others I know.)

So who in SF is so well-known that players would recognize the miniature? And any idea where I could find that person in 25-28mm? (Alternative armies is offering a really cheap "Trimote Overlord" any reader of The Mote in God's Eye would love--but the $27 USD shipping is a bit discouraging.)

Thanks for your help.

I think Crooked Dice have stolen IP of almost every known sci-fi show and movie. Have you checked them?

Thank you both! I shouldn't have forgotten either. Crooked Dice was too expensive for when I was bulking out, but they'll do very nicely for this phase. I'm already picking out my Christmas present to me.
