Painted up the last batch of DmD minis. We won't talk about the lag between painting, pictures, and posting.
This one is called, "Aspect of Nyarlathotep and Snack". The rest are here in a flipbook. |

You've been busy! |

Thanks. The date on the original pix is 15 June, but of this year. So I hope to get busy posting more stuff. And painting. These minis are very fun to paint. You can get a good look down fast with easy techniques. And there is sufficient detail in the sculpts to enable a lot of fine work, if you want. The Crawling Chaos above fleshed out with a black base coat and two progressively lighter greys lightly brushed over the base coat while still wet. I let that dry, then I had time to layer gold, bronze, and gold/bronze mixes for the flames at my leisure until I got what I liked, while working on the other ones. |

How do you plan to use them? |

The minis are come with the Death My Die game. We've already used them to play some of the scenarios. And the game has a lot of legs for replay – there is some randomization of set up and you can select the Great Old One that for the scenario. Each GOO gives you a genuinely different feel. And you get to pick your heroes, so again, a lot of legs. I am a big advocate of Reuse in the Reuse/Repurpose/Recycle, especially for minis and terrain, so, like the other editions of the game, most of these will see some regular tabletop play. Some already have. I'm pretty flexible on mixing in monsters that look the part, but having just the right hero, ingenue, or villain adds the je ne sais quoi to a pulp game. |
