All,

I've been quiet but not idle. I've played a batch of WWII games, at squad-, platoon-, and company-level, in 15mm and 28mm. My latest was a 15mm platoon-level fight following some Dogfaces from 3rd Infantry Division in southern France following Operation Dragoon:

I played a couple games of "Five Men in Normandy" following some Red Devils of the British 6th Airborne in Normandy:

A clash of patrols in Normandy.

And then a 28mm game using "No End In Sight," between GIs and Germans somewhere in France:

And then I got a couple games in with the old Kampfgruppe Klink:

Please take a look if you'd like, and let me know what you think. I'm working on another batrep right now, the second playtest of my 15mm platoon-level rules, will post ASAP.

V/R,
Jack

You've been busy,Jack. Nice figures and terrain, mate. I've never thought of a platoon level campaign, but your AAR (particularly the patrol clash has given me some (half baked) ideas….

Sweet looking stuff there, and interesting AAR.

Jack's Back (here on TMP that is)….

You've been hoarding away on all these scenarios, or hosting your own game convention right there at home. :)))

Gorgeous boards, figs, everything!

Always showing us the way too -> (love that thang) ->

It's way too many characters (a battalion of infantry with three companies of four platoons of three squads, with characters all the way down to squad leaders……

Just like scalin' small to go BIG, we've just got to lose some things to gain different benefits. (?)

Funny thing, or a contrast in approach – I never write up detailed AARs (my thinking is the experience is mostly relevant to the moment). I get the narrative thing, especially for solo gaming and layering on that tactical-level context, but as you may lament on your wantin' more, still, you're just 'one' critic.

(times I wonder why my desire to present for others [multiplayer] to 'validate', when it's all gift-giving to start with)

Pluses and Minuses all across the board – so to speak.
