Just over two weeks ago, friends and I played a refight of the Battle of Trafalgar to commemorate the 220th anniversary of the battle at the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Yeovilton, Somerset, as part of the annual Naval Wargame Society Meeting, using the rules 'Far Distant Ships', by David Manley.

The game fought over the weekend of the 4th/5th October was played in the 'Grand Manner' using 1:700 models, and featured all 73 ships involved in the battle, right down to the little cutter HMC Entreprenante, and produced much of the drama accounted in the actual battle, but more importantly was a game much enjoyed by all and a suitable tribute to the Immortal Memory.
