I don't often post on Napoleonic boards, but I think now I must. A couple of hours ago Swedish band Sabaton released their latest music video "I, Emperor":

This video includes over three minutes of footage showing the band members miniature wargaming the battle of Waterloo. I have no idea about the models in question, but the table they are playing on looks quite impressive.

For those not familiar with them, Sabaton is a Swedish band whose lyrics are usually about various parts of military history. They often produce quite interesting music videos, and have impressive stage kit on their live concerts.

Very cool! And I didn't even have the sound on!

Nice. Hopefully, a young person or two looks up historical wargaming. I'll share this with my 16 year old son, who is a history nerd and a Sabaton fan.

Great. I like Sabaton already but the video is icing on the cake.

Not their best song IMHO, but it's their best video!

Without sound on, it is a nice video

Nice. Hopefully, a young person or two looks up historical wargaming.

From what I have heard, the young ones are not quite as much into rock music as thet used to be a couple of decades ago. I cannot entirely blame them, as a lot of the rock music coming out these days tends to be a bit boring even to my slightly mature ear.

Sounds like your son is one of the young generation who still appreciates harder side of music – hopefully he enjoys the video.

Not their best song IMHO, but it's their best video!

It is certainly one of their funniest videos (notice the attempt to cheat at movement at 2:50), though the Hordes of Khan, released earlier this year, rates quite high in that category, too. And even though this Waterloo video looks quite simple, there was probably quite a lot of work involved in preparation, filming and post-production, with all the attention to detail.

However, when it comes to really impressive Sabaton video productions, there are others that I might rate much higher, such as Christmas Truce and Bismarck.
