As I announced yesterday, a configuration change by our website hosting service is preventing the TMP server from sending email. This began at 2AM yesterday.
Staff editors still have access to email, and can send and receive. It is only the server which cannot sent emails, such as email verifications, password reminders, and PM notifications.
As a temporary expedient:
1. Necessary emails are being send manually by TMP staff.
2. PM notifications have been turned off.
3. In most cases, verification requests are simply being verified.
In a related issue, I've discovered that some emails had been lost in a queue for unknown reasons. I have flushed the queue, and we are processing them now. There are at least 200 emails going back to September 4th. It's not clear why these particular emails were on the queue.
