Picking up on an earlier thread related to this subject, I am also seriously contemplating a trip to the UK from the U.S. next year, focusing on spring. I was looking at either Salute in April or Partizan in May; I am aware of the differences with UK "shows" versus our "conventions" so mostly want to look at eye candy, maybe talk to people, and shop/peruse vendors. Salute seems possibly TOO big, for while every possible vendor may be present, so are thousands of people competing with you to visit those stands. Is Partizan a better choice, then? FYI, I attended Warfare 20 years ago while on a business trip. It was a nice visit, but not big enough for my hopes with this trip. |

As a American who has done the trip several times before, Go to Salute. It easy to get to and a amazing time. I have never gone to Partizan, So I have no experience with it. |

I went over to Salute in 2017 and loved it. I recommend it. |

They are both wonderful shows. The decision might be affected by what else you would like to do whilst in the UK. Very broadly. London has the advantage on very good military monuments and museums. The Midlands has better access to UK battle fields. Did you want to do some wargaming when over here? You are invited down to weymouth (deep south) if you would like a few days of continuous gaming. Let me know. I hope you decide to visit the UK and I think you will have a great time. martin
PS I will be at salute if you have time for chat. |
