This site lists over 239 types of WWI aircraft (from trainers to Zeppelins) link

What is your favorite Allied plane to game with?

My top 5 are
Sopwith Camel (with Snoopy of course)
Spad VII
Neuport 12
Curtis JN-4
Roral Aircraft Factory SE 5

Note – was not aware of the Submarine P.B 31.E until looking at this site – some interesting ideas

The site has quite a few ads on the boarders and occasional pop up – but a lot of really good information in multiple sections on each aircraft page covering lots of specs, pics and details

My all-time Allied favorite is the Brisfit, with cheatin' twin Lewis MGs in the rear. I even carried a copy of a rare photo of one to "prove" it existed!
I had 8-10 kills in it until 5 bad guy Triplanes ganged up on me! Even still, I shot down 3 of them and put big holes in the rest!
Good ol' "Triplane" rules, from the "Mustangs and Messerschmidt's" people!

d88mm – specs on plane (Bristol F.2) says it came with either 1 or 2 7.7mm Lewis guns in the back 1 in the front – some nice firepower

Sopwith Camel (and Snoopy!) Love that turning radius!

Airco DH2– brilliant early solution to the Fokker Scourge, and one of the coolest-looking craft of the war.

SE5a— the speed is killer.

Sopwith Snipe is also fun, as is the Sopwith Triplane.

Snoopy's Sopwith camel.
I would prefer to have the doghouse in the miniature. Or model.

The Sopwith Snipe is perhaps the one I've had the most fun on the gaming table with.

The Airco DH.2 wins for looks, though!

After a lot of games (Wings of Glory) – I finally realised my favourite WW1 scout is the Nieuport 17. Albert Ball thought the same!

Hanriot HD1
Airco DH5
Nieuport 11
SPAD xiii
Sopwith Pup

I game a lot of early air war and like Nieuports vs Fokker Eindeckers.
Also like the Italian front Hanriots vs Austrians

I've always been an SE5a fan.
