Tonight I ran a game of Dragon Rampant at the club. The terrain is a tad crude, but I guess they can't all be gems. The table is 6x with 4 players. Scattered across the table were coins – small and large. A small coin was worth a d6 and a large coin a d8 of points. Most points wins. The smoky orange terrain are (impassable) lava pits. The craters are passable as rough except in te4h centers which are tunnels and impassable. Each player brought how own 24 point army. Activation order was done by chit pull. At the start of each turn the player rolled two dice. On a 9+ warrior bugs popped up out of a random crater. The bugs move 10" in a random direction and fight anyone they run into. The attack on a 4+ and defend on a 5+ and do not check morale. If they leave the table they just disappear. No more than six units of six bugs were allowed. It was a wild and wooly game and a good time was had by all. In first place were the sentient bananas. The giants took second, mini ogres third and skeletons came in last. Pictures: link

You need a lawyer magician following the banana people around in case someone slips and falls. |
