Oh. And while this is a nice try, Parz, it doesn't tell you the age of the average voter on "Best SF Novel" and even if you knew that, you'd still be reduced to guesswork on the relative influence of movies/TV vs printed word. I can assure you that even at the peak of the Baby Boom, book readers were very much a minority. |

Oh, and robert… while I am certainly inclined to agree that among the general population in virtually all eras, book readers are among the minority, so are miniatures gamers, and especially so are miniatures gamers who visit an old-school website and web forum with a design and function motif that predates MySpace. This ain't no young crowd. It is also a highly literate crowd— which is a necessity for miniatures gaming. You know what— I feel another poll coming on… |

Interesting fact: Longevity rates normally are determined by your female (mother, grandmother, etc.) line. So using their life span as a reference point you can get a reasonable idea about how long you will be around to annoy people. |
