Just read an interesting study about the amount of kinetic energy delivered downrange from various firearms For Napoleonic muskets, after about 100 metres not much and after 200 metres zilch The SA-80 slightly beat out the M-4 and AK-74 The most energy delivered downrange at 500 metres was the trusty old SLR (about double most current battle rifles) |
