I took a leap into the skirmish game Pillage. First, I purchased two warbands from Victrix before the tariffs kicked in; one of Saxons and the other of Vikings. There is a nice variety of figures in each set that allows for building up large groups to do battle. In searching the internet I came across a company in Nebraska that offered a complete midieval village. It was reasonably priced for all that you get. They have painted up nicely and will make a realistic setting for my battles.
