Like the headline says, it is now less than 10 days and counting down 'til MINI-WARS 2025 on the beautiful campus of Cal State Fullerton in Fullerton, Orange County, here in Southern California!

If you are a Gamer or Game-Master in:

Orange County…

The San Gabriel Valley…

The Inland Empire…

Greater Los Angeles…

Or beyond…

Ride the gaming wave to Cal State Fullerton Saturday, October 11th & Sunday October 12th for 2 days of TABLETOP CONVENTION fun!

Come join us at HMGS Pacific South West's MINI-WARS 2025!

We've got great games all weekend, a terrain-building workshop all day Sunday and a just announced FIGURE PAINTING CLASS being taught by local O.C. miniature painting legend Frank "'bama" Patterson Saturday night from 7pm til closing (circa 11:00pm). Frank is known for being generous with information and advice on the figure painting front but this is the first time he's ever agreed to teach an official "class", so if you're looking to learn the basics or if you're a good painter looking to up your game with some cool advanced techniques, and you're free that Saturday night, don't miss out on this special opportunity!

Here's a LINK to the convention's homepage on the Table Top Events website where you can buy a badge for one or both days:

…& here's the flyer with all other pertinent info:

Hope to see you there, whether you're rolling dice and pushing lead or wielding a paintbrush -- or both!

Last but not least… here's one pic I just scrambled to find of some hard plastic Perry Agincourt Foot Knights Frank was kind enough to recently paint for me:

…& a unit of the 23rd Bengal Native Infantry (Sikh Pioneers) he painted for me back in 2020, to help commemorate the 140th anniversary of the Second Afghan War battle of Kandahar AKA: Baba Wali:

…& finally, in a very different vibe, some of his Old School Orcs:

And finally, having just been processed & added to the event list -- and if you've already got your badge to attend the convention -- here's a DIRECT LINK you can use to reserve a spot in Frank's painting class on Saturday Night:

PARKING UPDATE…

It's not good news.

I apologize for being the bearer of bad tidings but the entire California State University system has changed its policy re: free parking for all guests on weekends. Even though our contract was signed many months before this policy change, they are refusing to make any adjustment for drivers parking their vehicles at our event. We just got the final decision on their part. We wish we had learned about this situation much sooner and of course we wish the school had seen fit to honor the status quo as it existed back when we made our deal, but unfortunately the parking policy -- which had been unchanged since the 1970s -- is not included in the contract. The new policy was put into effect in August but no one told us and we only found out a few days ago, since which time our leadership has been doing everything possible to try and get the school to make an exception for us, but as I said above, sadly we have failed in that effort.

So everyone and anyone driving a vehicle to the event must pay $6 USD per day for parking.

Again, HMGS-PSW is very sorry for this situation and offers our sincere apology.

Here is a photo of the DIGITAL KIOSK in the parking lot, where you can pay:
