We're back with another THEME EVENT added to the schedule for MINI-WARS 2025 on the campus of California State University, Fullerton, this one running on Sat. Oct. 11th from 10am to 3pm:

TARAWA!

HAPPY 250th BIRTHDAY TO THE U.S.M.C.

In honor of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States Marine Corps & tied in to the "SEND IN THE MARINES!" theme of this year's HMGS-PSW Mini-Wars convention, the Saint Crispin's Irregulars proudly present the Battle of Tarawa in 28mm -- perhaps the most savage, in-your-face beach assault ever undertaken in history.

Register to reserve a spot or just stop by and spend some time commanding U.S. Marines or Imperial Japanese Army forces, using Orange County's favorite homegrown tabletop miniature wargaming rule-set "FIRE & MANEUVER" under the guidance of its author, himself a Marine Corps alumni and host of this event.

Fantastic advertisement for the game and it looks like a lot of fun. I will be traveling from out of state to attend.

Unfortunately, the schedule lineup is completely bonkers. The morning is full of 5-8 hour games (starting 9am – 11am). The early afternoon has a few short games. And there is pretty much nothing in the evening even though the event is scheduled to go until 8PM. What does this mean? You likely can only play 1 scheduled game throughout the whole day as they almost all overlap each other, with a small number of outlier exceptions. The ticketing system doesn't allow you to cheat and sign up for any that happen to overlap.

I already picked my one game and I guess that's it for Saturday. I'd love to join this one too, but I'd have to leave after hour 4. If this works, I can message you my badge ID to sign up.
