I am thinking of buying some of the old glory 25mm colonial troops (northwest frontier). I was just wondering if anybody had bought them and if so what they thought of them.

Thanks,

Hi - I haven't used their NW Frontier Line but I have hundreds of their Indian Mutiney Line and I am very pleased with them and the way they paint up.

Since I always loved the movie Gunga Din, I have a ton of the Old Glory Pathans and British. The Pathans are excellent. The pictures on the website do not do the figures any justice. The British are also good but the Pathans are really impressive. In the rifle packs, they also have a few poses of tribesmen crouching and laying behind rocks that you can use for snipers. Highly recommended.

I am fussy about figs and I have painted a lot of Old Glory Colonial British, Pathans, Fuzzy Wuzzy's and Zulus. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I have a number of OG colonials and WWI figs: nice fings, certainly good value for money; I will order more. I buy from OG UK and Andy offers a great service.

I have bought some of Old Glory's Boxer Rebellion figures and have found the various packs to be hit or miss on matters of poses and anatomy. The American and Russian packs were good, but I could easily pass on the Germans. I AM picky about figures so be forewarned.

I have several packs of the OG Pathans in 25mm. Super figures, both mounted and dismounted. Highly recommended.

Can't beat the price to quality ratio. There are better figs, but they are a lot more expensive. There are cheaper figs, but they don't look as good. I've got a thousand or more OG figs and even the worst of them paint up really well.

Thanks for all the info, I just ordered some pathans and sikhs this morning (March 6).

Regarding Old Glory's pack of British Lancers from the Boer War (SKU# CBB-08), are lances included or sold separately? Also, if I want a unit of 12 (10 troopers, 1 bugler, and 1 officer), do know if OG will permit me to buy a 10-pack and 2 ala carte troopers?
