……a sea change in the US military priorities.

A couple of nights ago, not being very sleepy, I did a deep dive into the FY2026 National Defense Authorization Act.

I found the main thrust of the new Act to be very enlightening. The Act moves the main focus of US military strategy and planning to the Indo-Pacific with the Middle East moving into a secondary position.

What I find interesting is that when you look at the overall scope of the US strategic thinking and planning, Europe has become a low priority.

Probably a good thing Europe is finally stepping up its' own defensive preparedness.
