well, sometimes the historical situation just isn't balanced

I've heard various self-defense instructors comment to the effect of, "if you're in a fair fight, you and the other side both messed up somewhere". I'm sure that's a lesson taught at all levels of all military forces, too.

The scenario does looks like fun for both sides.
