Just what it says. My old favorite was Old Glory 15s. If I re-did my DA 15mm Armies today I'd probably use Khurasan. |

Boy. That's really tough. I have a nostalgic fondness for Minifigs which I have a multitude of. But I also really loved the Alain Touller ranges. Wonderful figures that disappeared when he passed away. |

I like the Essex line. No spindly figures. |

I've always liked Splintered Light Miniatures, for Post-Roman Britain. |

I liked the (1990's) Museum Miniatures Normans and some of their Byzantines, which were available from Eureka. It's a pity that their Byzantines were a little bigger than Essex "Nikephorians", or I'd have got some of them, too. |

I'm quite happy with the Khurasan 15's I've gotten for my Arabs and Dailami. Also excellent service. |

Hmm, European Dark Ages is a short suit for in DBA armies. Would have to go with Baueda. It's a limited range, but I have more of them than the others. Splintered Light are nice, but even more limited than Baueda. Old Glory have a nice sized range, but sculpts aren't as good as the above. A good choice though for varied armies that play well together. Essex are older sculpts with very limited poses, pity they haven't upgraded that range yet. Khurasan is too dicey on scale creep for me. Their earlier sculpts are all very nice and consistent 15mm toe-to-eye. Then they got a new sculptor who does scale creeped giants; and they won't answer questions on the actual size of any particular line. So I have to go digging to confirm size before I buy anything from them now. |

I don't really have anything for the "proper" (i.e., pre-viking) Dark Ages. For the Viking Age I guess the Donnington New Era range wins by default, it's the only thing I've got much of for the period. |
