I'd never heard of this place until I was in New Orleans on a business trip. Excellent use of my time! link Overall, New Orleans was a very cool city. Nice book town too, but this was a highlight. |

I remember visiting it in 1962. Glad to see that it's still there--and with vastly improved exhibits. As a teenager I was particularly impressed by a large collection of "war logs" studded with bullets and shell fragments. |

I've been to NOLA many times and have always stopped in here. The exhibits are excellent. I've donated money for their flag restorations and always try to support them by purchasing something. On one visit I spotted a hard to find Troiani print that I picked up. Highly recommended although that neighborhood has always been a bit sketchy when I've been there. |

I seem to recall that this museum is not far from the WWII museum. You can take a streetcar on Charles St to get there and then walk further down to the WWII museum. |
