I went for a few hours last week, took some pics, but am increasingly less interested in these big Warhammer events. I'm a guy who prefers 20th-century adventure tales set in the 19th century. Have I left the hobby or has the hobby left me? link |

I'm in DC metro – so HMGS-East cons are all in range. |

The Williamsburg Muster shows should offer some variety and not too far for you. |

I was at NOVA on Friday as well and found few of the games being played were of interest to me. But the convention is advertised as a forum for tournament play of various Games Workshop and similar type games so I knew what to expect. I don't know what time you were at the show but I found the vendor hall very busy from mid-afternoon until the closing time for the vendor area. I view NOVA as an opportunity to take classes and attend seminars, look at hobby products, and view the entries in the NOVA Open. I was able to accomplish that. Barrage and Cold Barrage up in Maryland have offered a great variety of games. There are fewer vendors but more with a historical focus. The only tournaments I saw that last time I attended were Bolt Action and Art De La Guerre. |
