Last week 12 gamers from NZ and Australia gathered in Wellington for the second annual Glory is Fleeting competition at the Call to Arms tournament.

There was an interesting array of armies in action:

Army of Sardinia 1792-96
French Armies on the Northern Front 1793-94
Spanish Army of Rosellón 1793-95
Russian Army in Switzerland and Italy 1799-1800
Russian Army in Poland 1806-07
Spanish Army 1808-12
Austrian Infantry Corps, Army of the Danube 1809
Bavarian Army 1809
French Infantry Corps d'Armée 1809
Suchet's Army of Catalonia and Valencia 1810-14
French Army at Berezina 1812
Army of the Duchy of Warsaw Autumn 1813

Great to see such a variety of eras and different theatres. And the winner is… Mike Haycock's 1793 French army.

We'll be back again at the same time next year, bigger and better than ever!
