This is the core of my Alexandrian Macedonian army. I flesh it out with Greeks and/or Persians from other armies as needed. Mostly Old Glory and Xyston figures. Most of the pike I acquired already painted in a couple of TMP marketplace buys 12 or so years ago although I had to add the pikes and repaint half of the shields. Most of the Cav I bought from a local gamer (thanks Jim). And the hypaspists I painted from bare metal. Album link: link

Excuse the typo in the title. |

Really great work! Love the look and color palette. I'm working on my languishing Macedonian/Successor army right now (10mm) and struggling to find the motivation to finish off the last few units. Your army eye candy is a great inspiration! Thanks! |

Your army looks great, very much like what I imagine an ancient Macedonian army would have looked like. Grelber |

The only thing I wish was different on them is that most of the shields on the pike are way too large. The units with the multi-colored shields are the only ones correctly sized. Of course, it doesn't bother me enough to redo them…. |

Inspiring work. And timely. Rummaging the Pile of Shame recently, nearly 300 unpainted Successor or later Macedonians in 15mm appeared in a long-buried plastic bin. Let the priming begin! |
